As business owners, wives, Moms and women in general there is always a reason to put other things first on our priority list. Between running kids to and from school, laundry, cooking, dishes, and business tasks, it isn’t always easy to find time to do things for ourselves. Here are some quick ideas to help you relax a little and put yourself first even when you have a busy life.

  1. Diffuse oils – Pick your favorite blend to brighten your mood.
  2. Take a walk – Go to the beach or walk around the lake if there is one close to you.
  3. Practice Yoga – This is great for your mind and body.
  4. Read that book your friend has been telling you about – 15 minutes a night is all you need to clear your head before you sleep.
  5. Take a bath – Add epson salt for an extra detox.
  6. Listen to your favorite music – Do nothing else, just listen.
  7. Make your favorite meal or go to lunch with a friend.
  8. Turn off your phone for a few hours and be free from the pressure of text messages, email and social media.
  9. Have a solo dance party – turn up the music and dance like no one is watching.
  10. Lay in the sunshine – this is amazing after those long winter months!
  11. Declutter your workspace – you work better and can be more productive with a clean space.
  12. Give yourself a mani-pedi!
  13. Take a picture of your favorite place.
  14. Visit a friend or family member you have been wanting to spend more time with.
  15. Buy yourself fresh roses.
  16. Listen to your favorite podcast.
  17. Explore somewhere new.
  18. Go out and play in the rain.
  19. Fix something small around your house that will make a difference in your daily routine.
  20. Do something just because it makes you happy.
  21. Help someone – giving to others is great for the soul!
  22. Do dry brushing on your legs and arms (I love the scrubby size of the Norwex Bath Mitt for this).
  23. Go for a bike ride.
  24. Grab some dark chocolate for a special treat.
  25. Get together with a  group of girlfriends and do something fun together.
