Hi friends! Have you found yourself hoarding multiple cleaning supplies for multiple different rooms in your house? Has that space underneath your kitchen sink been taken over by toxic chemicals? What if there were a sustainable, more efficient, and healthier way to take care of yourself and your loved ones while turning your home into a safe haven?

Norwex to the rescue!

The Norwex global mission is to improve quality of life by radically reducing chemicals in our homes. Norwex microfiber has been proven to reduce up to 99.9% of bacteria with JUST water (when following proper care and instructions).

Yes, you read that right! I know you may be thinking you need to go back and read that sentence again. You don’t. It’s true- Norwex Microfiber and water ALONE cleans better than your store-bought household cleaners, while significantly reducing toxic chemicals in your home.

Norwex Microfiber

Norwex microfiber is unique in many ways. Norwex microfibers are spun at 1/200th the thickness of a human hair. Traditional cleaning cloths push dirt and grime around surfaces, but due to the unique properties of Norwex microfiber, our cloths are able to lift and collect even the smallest of particles.

The best part? Norwex microfiber is self-purifying! Yes, you read that sentence right again! Norwex microfiber contains a BacLock antibacterial agent, microsilver, and the cloth purifies itself once wet in 24 hours. Simply amazing! Your laundry pile will thank you later.

Now that you know all about the fantastic properties of Norwex microfiber, it’s time to introduce to you my favorite products for starting your safe haven- The Household Package!

The Household Package

Enviro Cloth: Think of the Enviro cloth as your new all-purpose cleaner-Imagine the money you’ll save! The Enviro holds 7x its weight in water! If you were to unravel all of the fibers, you could stretch them all the way from Canada to the Gulf of Mexico. Isn’t that fascinating?

Window Cloth: The Window Cloth is truly magic. Think of all your shiny surfaces- Windows, mirrors, bathroom faucets, stainless steel appliances. You’ll never have another streaky, paper towel and window cleaner mess again once you have the Window cloth in your possession.

Dusting Mitt: I’m not exaggerating when I say you’ll end up dusting things you’ve never dusted before! Who knew dusting could be so luxurious? Blinds, plantation shutters, window screens, you won’t be able to stop!

Still not convinced you can kill 99.9% of bacteria with JUST water? Let’s talk about the infamous Chicken Demo!

Now that we’ve learned all about Norwex and how Norwex microfiber can remove up to 99.9% of bacteria from surfaces (when following proper care and instructions), it’s time to learn how to clean our Norwex microfiber!

How to Clean your Norwex Microfiber

Understanding how to care for your microfiber is essential, and I want to make sure to educate you in order for you to get the best results from your microfiber. Because of the BacLock technology, they don’t need to be washed as often as regular cleaning cloths, but they DO still need to be washed and cared for.

In between washes I take my cloth to the kitchen sink and rub them together with hot water! This allows for less washes and is a really great way to freshen up your cloth after use and then let the BacLock technology do the work from there!

When it IS time to wash, there are three rules you need to follow- No softener, no bleach, and no linty items such as towels. Pretty simple! I highly recommend using our Ultra Power Plus (UPP) powder laundry detergent or Liquid Laundry Detergent to clean and care for your microfiber (It’s biodegradable and septic tank safe!), as well as our Fluff and Tumble Dryer Balls. They’re 100% wool and soften fabric naturally (remember, your three rules say NO SOFTENER!)

Twice a year, you should do a deep clean of your microfiber! To do this, take a pot of water and boil it on the stove. Add your cloth to the pot of boiling water and then let it boil for about ten minutes.

Why do you need to deep clean your microfiber? The fibers are SO tiny (1/200 the size of a human hair) that they hold an incredible amount of dirt, grime, and yuck. The boiling water allows the fibers to swell and all of the contaminants in the cloth are released. Please note that you only need to use this method TWICE a year or if there is something REALLY set in your cloth. Otherwise, just launder as usual with the care tips above!

Following the proper cleaning instructions will not only ensure that your microfiber makes it through the 2-year warranty, but your microfiber will last even longer. Be sure to take care of them!

Isn’t Norwex fantastic?! Who knew you’d be able to replace so many products with microfiber and water!
