Spring Cleaning with Norwex Week Three-

Week Three Day 1: Spring Cleaning Your Linen Closet

Supplies Needed: Norwex UPP, Norwex Mattress Cleaner, Norwex Dryer Balls.

Estimated Time: 15 Minutes (Not including washing time).

How long has it been since you’ve washed your comforters and blankets? Grab them and toss them in the wash with your Norwex UPP. For a quicker drying time, add your Norwex Dryer Balls! For any pillows or blankets that cannot be washed, spray with your Norwex Mattress Cleaner and let it dry. After you linens are all clean, organize sets together and store in a pillow case so the next time you need them they are all together. Have extras you no longer use? Reach out to your local homeless shelter to see if they can be used there.

Week Three Day 2: Time To Clean Your Mattresses!

Supplies Needed: Norwex Mattress Cleaner

Estimated Time: 5 minutes per bed.

Did you know that most people with allergies are actually allergic to dust mite feces? For today’s spring cleaning, use the Norwex Mattress Cleaner on your mattresses, pillows, comforters, pet bedding, fluffy toys and fabric furniture to clean out the organic matter that has been left behind. Lightly spray items and let it sit out to dry. You will need to keep the linens off of your bed for a few hours so this is a great time to wash anything that needs it.

Week Three Day 3: Time to clean out and organize your laundry supplies!

Supplies Needed: Norwex UPP, Basket/Bin, Laundry Supplies

Estimated Time: 5 to 10 minutes

Update the laundry area by ditching any old laundry products you no longer use and put the items you do use in an easy to reach spot. Help keep all of your items neatly in one place by storing them in a bin or basket.  When picking a basket, make sure you get one big enough to hold your laundry detergent, stain remover and dryer balls! Also, grab a small cup and keep it in your bin to collect items you find while you are doing laundry. Having a neat and organized laundry area will make this chore a little easier.

Week Three Day 4: Welcome Your Closet To Spring!

Supplies Needed: Norwex Wrinkle Release Spray

Estimated Time: 5 to 10 minutes

Start by cleaning out the winter clothes. Donate or sell any items you didn’t wear this winter then bring out the spring wardrobe! Sort and organize your spring clothes and add any items you don’t love to your donate/sell pile. As you hang your clothes give them a quick refresh with the Norwex Wrinkle Release Spray. Bonus: Want to make cleaning out your closet a little easier next time? Turn you hangers the opposite way when you first hang them. When you do laundry hang them normal any time after that. When you sort clothes to bring out your summer wardrobe, you will be able to easily grab any clothes that still have the opposite hanger!

Week Three Day 5: It’s Dusting Day!

Supplies Needed: Norwex Dust Mitt, Norwex EnviroWand, Norwex Mop Handle (if you have high ceilings), Spray Bottle of Water.

Estimated Time: 15 minutes

Time to dust all those hard to reach places. Grab your EnviroWand to clean the air vents. Attach the mop handle to your EnviroWand to get to those high ceiling vents. While your EnviroWand is attached, get any corners or plant shelves that need a good cleaning.  Next, use your Dusting Mitt to clean the tops of shelves and book cases. Tip – Have dust that seems to be stuck? Use a spray bottle of water to wet the area. It will wipe clean easier when wet!

Week Three Day 6: It’s cleaning day for your rugs and mats!

Supplies Needed: Norwex Rubber Brush, Norwex Entry Mat, and Hose.

Estimated Time: 15 minutes

Use your rubber brush to get all of the stuck on dirt and grime from your indoor mats. Toss them in the wash if possible (per care instructions). Head outside and use your rubber brush to wipe off all of your outdoor mats, then use a hose to spray them off and hang to dry! Bonus Tip: If you want a way to cut down on the stuff being tracked into your home, look into getting the Norwex Entry Mat. This will reduce your cleaning time and reduce the bacteria tracked in by shoes!
